| Description | Swiss System Style Individual and Team Tournament (no eliminations). 5 Sections See flier/form. 1) Grades K-4 Open, 2) K-6 Open, 3) Grades 6-9 Open, 4) Grades 9-12 U1100 5) Grades 9-12 Premier Onsite Registration: All players registering onsite will receive a bye in round 1. Onsite registration from 8:00 – 9:30am Teams: Top four finishers from the same school combine for team score. Sections 4 and 5 combined for team score purposes. Minimum two players per team. Pre-Registered: Pre-registered players must check-in before 9:00 am or will receive round 1 bye Schedule: Round 1 begins 9:45 am for ALL sections. Entry Fee: $20 for all players with NO ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP FEES REQUIRED Mail before or on March 2 OSCO Grand Prix Tournament #6 (final)) Hotel: La Quinta Inn Tulsa East, 10829 E 41st St Tulsa, OK, 74146 Phone: (918) 665-0220 $59 + tax for 2 full beds + breakfasts. This is the current rate – prices fluctuate. Some discounts available for AAA, AARP, etc… Denker and Polgar National Championships: Champion and Girls Champion in the High School Premier Section will receive $1000 scholarships to represent Oklahoma. Grand Prix: Winners will be announced and awards presented. Premier Recognition: 2008-9 Season Premier Section Players participating in this event will be recognized and receive a triple weight chess set with bag. OSCO Board Election: 4 Board positions to be elected this year for 2-year terms. Contact OSCO for more information. Chess Equipment: Instant Replay will be back to sell chess equipment.
